Henry Lawson Memorial & Literary Society
The Henry Lawson Memorial and Literary Society lnc. was formed in 1923 by a group of people who wanted to honour and celebrate one of Australia's greatest story writers and poets, Henry Lawson. The group meets once a month and members read and recite their own works as well as stories and poems by Henry Lawson and other traditional Australian writers.
If you'd like to join the Henry Lawson Memorial & Literary Society, it's as simple as going along to one of their friendy monthly meetings on the third Saturday of each month (during February-December), at Monastry Hall, St Francis' Church, corner Lonsdale and Elizabeth Streets in Melbourne.
